get to know me

I was born and raised right here in Wichita, Kansas. When I was a little girl I always said I wanted to help people. Everyone assumed that meant I would work in healthcare. Fast forward to today and that couldn’t be further from the truth. However I get to help people in a different way. I help them embrace who they are by creating the hair of their dreams, resulting in a confidence they’ve never felt before. I graduated cosmetology school in 2010, Managed multiple corporate salons & Have been self employed since 2018. I’ve also had the opportunity to attend several hair shows and educational events to continue to offer the newest trends and utilize the best products for my guests. I was also awarded a One Shot award for Color Placement in 2022, and Have had the opportunity to work on celebrities and a music video.

Here’s a little backstory on how I got into this amazing career. When I was 12 I was staying the night at my best friend’s house. She confided in me that she disliked her hair and showed me some photos of how she wished her hair was. So I said, “lets do it.” I cut & colored her hair to the best of my abilities and when she looked in the mirror, she was absolutely GLOWING. I thought to myself, if only I could make other people feel this way everyday… that would be the life. That evening ignited my passion and that’s when I knew this was the right path for me.

I spend my free time watching something new on Netflix, or creating art. I’m also a Crazy cat mom of 8, so I enjoy spending time & playing with them. I’m a hermit for the most part, but I do enjoy going to rock concerts and letting the music flow through me. I collect Tokidoki Unicornos. At least once a year I try to visit the Ocean, because I truly feel like it resets my soul. I’m a Pisces so I absolutely love being in and around water. Also, you have been warned, I like to think I’m hilarious, and my closest friends say they never know what’s going to come out of my mouth, there will be no shortage of laughter in my chair.

As someone who lives with anxiety, I take a different approach with my guests compared to most stylists. I’ve been told by almost everyone who has sat in my chair that they’ve never felt so comfortable in a salon. Not only do I make sure to explain the process but I also make sure to cover how to take care of your hair at home, suggest products to help maintain your look, and come up with a maintenance plan based on your lifestyle, budget & hair goals.
